Office Space Decisions

So after getting over Monday and Tuesday's migraine, where have I been? After learning that we have lost business because of the negative perception of being "home-based", we have been considering getting commercial office space for Ryan's business. This has involved much stress/prayer/thinking/conversation/etc.!

Last Sunday we looked at space in a nice little brick building. Wednesday we looked at space with a real estate broker in several other buildings around town. Then we went back to the nice little brick building, measured, planned, and almost signed a lease. Then we looked at a new modern building (set to open in a few weeks) Thursday morning and spent the day rethinking our direction. Friday we went across town to see another completed building by the same builder. Then back to the new building nearby to meet with the construction manager and evaluate the different suite sizes and layouts. Saturday we were back again to meet with the owner/designer and negotiate terms. Yesterday we gave him a verbal to hold a suite.

So it's not totally final, but almost. We need to go meet with the construction manager again to talk about the walls we would need to have built and some other customization. Scary... Exciting... Continued prayers would be appreciated!!

Amazingly school continued through our crazy week -- my girls have been great sports, fitting in Math, Spelling, Grammar, Memory Work, Geography, Latin, Handwriting, Reading, Science, and Piano. It's only History and Literature that we'll have to "catch up" on... We've been so blessed to have friends to drop the kids off with during the week so they didn't have to attend all of our meetings -- although they were with us for some of them! (And Brett has the dirt from the construction site all over his coat to prove it...)
